As data generation has increased rapidly, knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become a critical asset in the success of any business. MDSA (Metropolitan Data Science Association) and The Coding Hive have partnered to deliver a hands-on, virtual workshop designed to provide you with an overview of how AI algorithms work and how they can be used to solve complex business problems. In this 3-hour workshop we will:
Introduce some successful applications of AI in Toronto and worldwide.
Pick a business problem and demonstrate how we can use AI to solve it.
Deep dive into the theory behind the selected machine learning algorithm.
Import the dataset, visualize it and code the algorithm using Python in a hands-on code along session.
Discuss the next steps that you can take to implement the model and turn it into an application that users can interact with.
Share tools and learning resources that you can use to further advance your knowledge and grow your network in AI.
No previous coding experience is required to attend. You do not need to install any software prior to the workshop, as we will be using a cloud computing service that has all the dependencies installed.
